It was a good presentation Sarah and rest of team members.
I believe, main differences between four photographers are their pursuit and disposition. Both Andre Kertesz and Henri Cartier-Bresson preferred invisible moments which mean they waited until the right moment to capture what they pursue. Also they preserve photograph without staging or creating. They just wanted to show the real moment to people. Your examples are express their pursuit and disposition that "the subject offered itself to me and I took advantage" by Kertesz and "approach the subject on tiptoe" by Henri. One the contrary, Eugene Smith and Sabasito Salgado tended to prefer visible moments. Also they used to create moments of truth.
The similarities between four Photographs’ works of art are colors and subjects. Both four photographers’ photos are based on Black and white. By using only those two colors, they expressed the emotion of photos deeply. Also all photographers used real life such as people, nature, and landscape as a subject of photograph so that audience can feel true emotions with comfortable mind from the pictures. Like you mentioned that “no matter how visible/invisible they were in the process, they captured true emotions”. I do agree with your opinion.
I do agree with you opinion that Andre Kertesz and Henri Cartier-Bresson have the better journalistic approach, because both Kertesz and Henri were symbol of photojournalism, and they would follow ethics rules so that inform or report true and reality moment of event to public.
